About The Photographer
Ken Williamson has been involved in photography since he was 12 years old. He bought his first darkroom equipment for $15 with money he saved from delivering newspapers. He earned a BFA degree in photography from Ohio University and perfected his photo-journalist skills as a US Army photographer in Vietnam in 1969. He later worked as a documentary film producer for a major broadcasting network and recently retired from 28 years of owning his own film and videotape production company.
The photographs on this site represent current and past work spanning the last 30 years. Featured black and white photography of Vietnam in 1969 and color photographs from return trips in 1998 and 2005 are located in separate galleries.
Recent photographs, after 2005, have been captured using professional digital formats. In addition there is one professionally produced video (DVD) available in the Gallery featuring photographs from Vietnam in 1969.
